Facebook

Well, I finally joined Facebook, and I have to say, in two days I've heard from several people that I haven't talked to in years (like 20 years). I'm still learning how to navigate the site, and the fact that anything I write is so very 'public' is a little unnerving, but I have to admit, I am beginning to understand the connected feeling that people have expressed. It really was wonderful to find out about old friends with little more than a click on their page. I do still have trouble imagining how I can use it more for educational purposes, but I'm hoping that that will present itself as I find out more about it. Right now, however, between joining Facebook and sending an Animoto birthday video to a friend, I am feeling very 21st century!
