Following are selected VoiceThreads of interest in response to the question, "What does the network mean to me?" These were selected by one group during our February 3rd class.
Comments of participants identified:
Joan Cox - The web is the most huge change in communication for humans since the printing press..."Delicious" is a tool that helps with research. We can lead students in a networked environment. It is a much richer learning community.
Bud Hunt - Every day I am connected. Curriculum documents freak me out. Colleagues help me navigate. You can reach me at budtheteacher.com.
Will Richardson - I am a network learner to the nth degree.
Heather Ross - It is constant, continuing learning with little effort...number one learning tool.
Lorna Constantides - It is a forum for the parent community.
Additional comments of participants not identified:
I never felt so professionally developed.
People in the network are more in tune with me than my co-workers. I love my network.
It is like the air. I'm breathing it all the time. The network is messy, not straightforward. The boundaries are blurred with social networking. It is chaotic, energetic.
How can I absorb it all? I realized I don't have to learn everything and know everything. I don't have to.
